info@festivalcinemania.comMaidy Teitelbaum is the president and founder of Cinemania Film Festival. Maidy created the Cinemania Film Festival in 1995 at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts with support from the private sector. Over the years, as a result of growing attendance, the festival moved to the historic Imperial Cinema, a larger capacity theatre.
In 2006, Maidy Teitelbaum was made a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters of France in recognition of her contribution to French culture. On June 16, 2008, Maidy received the Medaille Beaumarchais awarded by the SACD of France (Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques). This medal is awarded each year to those whose work supports artistic creation and copyright issues.

Guilhem Caillard’s education spans the history of cinema and the management of cultural events –these days, he’s particularly interested in cinematography and film financing. He has taken part in numerous cultural events in France including the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival and the renowned Festival d’Avignon. Since coming to Quebec he has been involved in programming at La Cinematheque Quebecoise, as a columnist and writing film critiques and interviews for such magazines as ‘Sequences’, ‘Cineuropa’ and ‘24 Images’. Guilham has frequently been chosen as a professional jury member at international film festivals in Istanbul, Cluj, Goteborg, Thessalonica and Rotterdam. He initially joined the CINEMANIA team in 2010 as an associate programmer.
