CINEMANIA’s opinion :
A CEGEP philosophy professor generally well thought of by his students sees his values called into question when he crosses paths with Nacira, a conscientious Muslim student.
CINEMANIA’s opinion :
Primarily known for his television work (District 31, Fourchette, and recently Virage), Quebec filmmaker Catherine Therrien gives us her first feature film. In her eyes, UNE RÉVISION is a tribute to the world of education, and to those teachers who can change a life. A fundamental drama on the importance of communication, that militates admirably in favour of more listening and dialogue in the public sphere while standing up against one-way thought. For the filmmaker, who called upon several up and coming actresses- Nour Belkhiria and Rose-Marie Perreault at the head of the line -the story is above all the bearer of a strong message directed at youth: never stop asking yourself questions. A polished first film, particularly carried by deep and subtle dialogues. Of note are the equally exceptional performances of Patrice Robitaille, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé and Pierre Curzi.
