RODEO

A father and his 9-year-old daughter set out on a journey they have long dreamed of to a legendary Alberta truck celebration. In their Kenworth W900, they head west and cross the country together. The adventure starts out as a party but turns disturbingly grim as they travel across the country. With Rodéo, writer-director Joëlle Desjardins-Paquette delivers a first feature film full of poetry, bittersweet humor and vibrant humanity. A road movie that transcends the codes of the genre to touch on a universal subject, family love, transposed by the brilliant performances of Maxime Le Flaguais and Lilou Roy-Lanouette.
