THE LINE

 

Margaret is arrested and charged with a restraining order for having hit her mother. “Locked out”, the young woman wants to make amends and this imaginary line not to be crossed will crystallize all the tensions. Presented at the Berlinale last February and at the “Festival du Film Francophone d'Angoulême”, this new film of Ursula Meier (L'Enfant d'en haut, Journal de ma tête) is based on the following themes and motifs: dysfunctional family, forbidden acts, landscapes of the highlands, and, the majestic and threatening at the same time...
