ACTOR

A 1998 graduate of the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal, Patrice Robitaille acted in film, television and theater, and wrote various projects. Patrice has been an integral part of the Quebec television landscape for several years. We have seen him evolve through a wide range of diverse roles. Over the years, he has played in LA VIE, LA VIE, GRANDE OURSE, TEMPS DUR, RUMEURS, FRANÇOIS EN SÉRIE and MISS MÉTÉO, as well as in LES INVINCIBLES, where he played Steve, a member of the famous superhero quartet. He also starred in the series PROZAC, directed by François Bouvier. Also, he participated in the series LES BOYS, 30 VIES, TOUTE LA VÉRITÉ, LES BEAUX MALAISES, LES PÊCHEURS, PATRICE LEMIEUX 24/7 and L'IMPOSTEUR. In 2017, he played the lead role in the series VICTOR LESSARD. In 2020, he starred one of the main protagonists in C'EST COMME ÇA QUE JE T'AIME, written by François Létourneau and directed by Jean-François Rivard. He was also back in LES BEAUX MALAISES 2.0.

As soon as he left the Conservatory, he was immediately very present on the stages of many theaters. He has distinguished himself in Huis clos, Le retour and La tempête, all produced by the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (TNM). Previously, he was seen in Cheech or Les hommes de Chrysler sont en ville, produced by the Théâtre La Licorne, and in La nature même du continent, produced by the Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui. He also acted in Le prénom, produced by Just for Laughs, and La Vénus au vison at the Théâtre Jean Duceppe, in addition to playing the famous character of Cyrano de Bergerac in the eponymous play presented at the TNM. He was back again in 2019 at the Théâtre Jean Duceppe in the play Consentement directed by Frédéric Blanchette.

After co-writing and acting in various short and medium-length films, Patrice Robitaille participated as a co-writer in one of the most important projects in our cinema, QUÉBEC-MONTRÉAL. This cult film won the Jutra Award for Best Screenplay and earned him a nomination for Best Actor, as well as Best Screenplay and the Special Jury Prize at the International Francophone Film Festival in Namur, Belgium. He was part of the cast of the films LE SURVENANT by Érik Canuel, SAINT-MARTYRS-DES-DAMNÉS by Robin Aubert, DÉLIVREZ-MOI by Denis Chouinard and HORLOGE BIOLOGIQUE by Ricardo Trogi, which he also co-wrote. He played Émile "Butch" Bouchard, one of the field hockey legends featured in MAURICE RICHARD by Charles Binamé, and then reprised the role of Ron that he had played on stage in the film CHEECH by Patrice Sauvé. Patrice Robitaille interprets a variety of roles that demonstrates a great range of acting. He was touching in Francis Leclerc's film UN ÉTÉ SANS POINT NI COUP SÛR and hilarious in his role in CADAVRES by director Érik Canuel. He was seen in screenwriter Ken Scott's directorial debut LES DOIGTS CROCHES, Philippe Gagnon's LE POIL DE LA BÊTE, Marc-André Lavoie's Y'EN AURA PAS DE FACILE and Richard Roy's FRISSON DES COLLINES. He was also part of the cast of the films LA PETITE REINE by Alexis Durand-Brault and BUNKER by Patrick Boivin. We can also see him in PAUL À QUÉBEC by director François Bouvier, LE MIRAGE by Ricardo Trogi and LES 3 P'TITS COCHONS 2, by director Jean-François Pouliot. He is also part of the cast of the films DE PÈRE EN FLIC 2 by Émile Gaudreault and JUNIOR MAJEUR by Éric Tessier. He played alongside Julie Le Breton in Ara Ball's first film, QUAND L'AMOUR SE CREUSE UN TROU. In 2020, he is part of the cast of the films AU REVOIR LE BONHEUR by Ken Scott and UNE RÉVISION by Catherine Therrien.
