CINEMANIA Presents "Sympathy for the Devil" in Ireland

CINEMANIA is working hard to reinforce the presence of Quebec and Francophone cinema around the world!
This month of July, we are very proud to introduce Guillaume de Fontenay’s SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL (SYMPATHIE POUR LE DIABLE) in Ireland, at the Galway Film Fleadh, one of the biggest festival in the country. The screening is taking place online, on Friday, July 10th. It will be followed with a Q&A session between director Guillaume de Fontenay and CINEMANIA’s Managing director Guilhem Caillard. You can also watch the event on the Galway Film Fleadh Facebook page.

Since its world premiere in October 2019, the Canadian-French-Belgian co-production SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL has won many prizes, including the Grand Prix at the Saint-Jean-de-Luz International Film Festival and three Iris awards. Its North-American premiere took place last year in Montreal during the CINEMANIA Film Festival’s 25th anniversary, in the presence of main actor Niels Schneider and part of the team.
This war biopic, set in the heart of a Sarajevo under siege, is now continuing on its world tour and is now being presented as part of the Peripheral Visions section of the Film Fleadh which features an online co-curated competition of films selected by each members of the new Europa Film Festivals network.
